COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

Covid Positive Result – If you test Covid Positive and your arrival date is inside the 7 day quarantine period, there is no refund of deposit and you are liable to pay the full amount of the accommodation tariff.  Please ensure you have travel insurance that provides cover for Covid illness and other unavoidable circumstances.  You are urged to be careful within the week or two leading up to your holiday at the Resort as there are no refunds provided by the Resort for illness or accident inside 7 days of arrival.  Please do what you can to avoid contact with Covid-19 carriers.  If you test positive and your arrival date is 8 days or more away, do not contact the Resort. Follow the NSW Health guidelines and once your party all test negative, you are free to arrive and check in on your date.  Contact the Resort should you remain negative on the day of arrival.

Government Lockdown – If at any time 30 – 7 days prior to your arrival, your registered address is declared in Covid Lockdown, your deposit will be transferred to a future arrival date.  If you are placed into Lockdown 31 days or more prior to your arrival, standard refund terms apply at your choice.   Should you enter Lockdown 7 – 1 days prior the day of arrival, your deposit (the first night tariff) is not refundable however,  you will not be charged the full price of the Apartment reservation.

Important Notice - Covid-19 Lockdown Conditions

Please do not make a reservation for a date that is still within a Covid Lockdown period.  You will be required to prove that you are not from a Covid Lockdown location on arrival and check in.  You will forfeit the entire cost of your reservation if you attempt to check in from a lockdown area.

Cancellation Or No-Show Policy

For a full refund of your deposit, you must cancel your reservation within 30 days of arrival.   Should you need to cancel, between 29 and 8 days prior to your arrival, the first night accommodation fee will be charged.  At your request we may agree to move your reservation to another arrival date solely at our discretion.  Should you wish to cancel your reservation within 7 days of arrival or in case of no show; the guest will forfeit the entire accommodation fee which will be debited from your credit card on file. Should you disagree on our policies above please contact us to discuss or we understand that you authorize The Boathouse Resort Tea Gardens to implement the policies where they apply; meaning the fees incurred will be debited from your credit card.

Credit Cards and Cash Accepted

We accept Credit Cards and Cash at reception.  However, due to our Contact-less check in for avoidance of Covid-19 transmission we charge your card prior to arrival. If you do not wish your tariff to be charged to your card, please arrange for a direct EFT payment with our office.  We do not accept cheques on arrival. Credit card surcharges apply at 1.2% and AMEX is welcome.

Check In/Check Out

Check-in is from 2.00 pm on the day of arrival and check-out is 10.00 am on the day of departure. Late checkout can be arranged if available, and may incur an extra fee which is $50 per hour from 1100. If you need to check out outside of reception hours please contact us during office hours to finalise your guest account prior to departure.

Arrival and Office Hours

Our office hours are 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, Sat & Sun office hours are 8am to 4.00pm. Should you be arriving outside of this time we ask that you call reception to make alternative arrangements. Full payment for your accommodation is required and may be charged to your credit card up to 5 days prior to your arrival. Whilst individual apartments can be booked, and all efforts of management will be made to maintain the booking for the chosen apartment, the Resort does not guarantee the allocation of any specific apartment.

Notice of Care

The Boathouse Resort is not a hotel or motel.  All apartments are privately owned residential accommodation properties that are joined together under one brand name.   Your occupancy is bound by the NSW Short Term Rental Accommodation regulations and the Strata Bylaws.   Guests are kindly requested to look after the apartments while staying and keep the kitchen and furniture items in the same apartments. Please do not move the furniture or homeware around when you have a party with group stays. The damage to the apartment or furniture of the apartment will incur furniture replacement fee and/or penalty fee.  If you have a breakage in your apartment, please avoid embarassment and report the issue to Reception.
